The AFR70 radar level meter uses a transmission frequency of up to 26 GHz-108 GHz, which has a frequency FM-CW pulse emission to transmit a narrow radar pulse downwards through the antenna. The pulse is reflected back after contacting the surface of the measured medium and is received again the antenna system and automatically converted into a level signal. This radar level antenna has been further optimized, and the new fast microprocessor can perform signal analysis and processing at a higher rate allowing the instrument to be used for: very complex measuring conditions in reactors or solid silos.
